Dear Scholars,

The electronic peer-reviewed scientific journal Musical Art in the Educational Discourse (Category "B") invites submissions for Issue No. 10.
The deadline for submitting manuscripts in English or Ukrainian has been extended to August 30, 2025.

Submissions between 16,000 and 40,000 characters (with spaces) that correspond to the journal’s thematic focus are accepted via the journal's online submission system.
The journal Musical Art in the Educational Discourse aims to highlight current issues in enhancing the effectiveness of teaching arts disciplines in institutions of higher education in Ukraine.
The journal is included in the List of Scientific Specialized Publications of Ukraine (Category "B") where the results of dissertations for the degrees of Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Sciences in the field of knowledge 01 – Education / Pedagogy may be published.

Publications are indexed in national and international abstracting and scientometric databases, including:
Index Copernicus, Google Scholar, Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (“Scientific Periodicals of Ukraine”), Bibliometrics of Ukrainian Science, Ulrich's Periodicals Directory.

The publication is scheduled for January 2026.


To publish an article, authors are required to submit the following materials via the journal's website:

  • the article formatted in accordance with the specified requirements;

  • a payment receipt for the publication fee (payment details will be provided after the manuscript successfully passes peer review).

Publication fee: 65 UAH per page.
The electronic version of the journal will be published on time and in open access on the official website.

Articles are accepted in Ukrainian and English.


Article Formatting Guidelines

Article Formatting Requirements for English-language Submissions:

  1. Author’s full name (left-aligned, bold font, 10 pt);

  2. Academic title, degree, and position (left-aligned, 10 pt);

  3. Affiliation: name of the institution and city/town (left-aligned, 10 pt);

  4. Email address (left-aligned, italic font, 10 pt);

  5. ORCID iD (left-aligned, italic font, 10 pt);
    // If there are multiple authors, information for each author should be provided in separate lines;

  6. Article title (centered, bold font, 12 pt, uppercase letters, no paragraph indent);
    Important: According to editorial ethics requirements, the list of authors must include only those individuals who have made a significant contribution to the scientific research presented in the article. Academic status, job title, or other indicators of seniority must not determine the order of authorship. The sequence of authors should reflect the relative leadership and extent of contribution of each researcher to the work;

  7. The word "Abstract." (bold font, 10 pt). On the same line, provide the article abstract of no less than 1,800 characters (regular font, justified alignment, 10 pt, left and right indents – 1 cm);

  8. The phrase "Keywords:" (bold italic font, 10 pt). On the same line, list 5–8 keywords separated by semicolons “;” (regular font, justified alignment, 10 pt, left and right indents – 1 cm);

  9. Main text of the article (regular font, justified alignment, 12 pt);
    Important: In-text citations of sources must follow this format: (Surname, year of publication, page number or range).
    For example: (Hanraads, 2010, p. 23) or (Hanraads, 2010, pp. 22–25).
    Do not indicate page numbers in the following cases:
    • when referencing websites;
    • when citing an entire book in general.
    In all other cases (e.g., paraphrasing a source), page numbers must be provided;

  10. References:
    • in English, formatted according to the APA style (Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association);
    • heading “REFERENCES” (left-aligned, bold font, 12 pt, uppercase letters);
    • sources must be listed in the order of citation in the text, in a separate paragraph, 12 pt font, single spacing;
    • only sources that are cited in the manuscript should be included;
    • the recommended number of sources is no more than 30;
    • self-citations must not exceed 10–20% of the total number of sources listed;
    • Russian-language publications and publications issued in Russia are not allowed.
    Important: Authors’ names and surnames must be transliterated into the Latin alphabet according to the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers’ transliteration standard of 2010 (http://translit.kh.ua/?passport);
    • surnames and proper names (journals, publishers) must be transliterated into Latin script;
    • titles of articles and conferences should be translated into English;
    • each reference must be followed by an indication of the original language – (in Ukrainian).

  11. Title of the article, author’s name, abstract, and keywords in Ukrainian (formatted in the same way as in English).
